About The Founder

I'm Jas Bains, founder of CryptoKnowledge.

I spent 25 years working in the City of London, first as an international finance lawyer, then as a financier. Structuring deals, advising institutions, and watching from the inside how capital actually flows through the global financial system.

What I learned is what led me to build CryptoKnowledge.

In 2020, something extraordinary happened. Governments around the world locked down their citizens (you may remember!). To pay for this, central banks printed trillions upon trillions of currency units to inject into their economies. Unsurprisingly, prices started rising at the supermarket. The economy became more unstable. The future is looking more uncertain for millions of people. And no one is really explaining why. No one is explaining how all these things are connected.

The question I keep coming back to is this: how are ordinary people supposed to protect themselves from the declining purchasing power of their currencies?

Some turned to gold. Others to silver or various hard assets. I turned my attention to Bitcoin, and the more I studied it, the more I realised it was, in many ways, the modern world's version of gold. Digital gold, built for the technological age.

That's the journey that led to CryptoKnowledge.
